About
HaBonim LLC grew out of a vision founded in 1927 by my grandfather John L. Jones (pictured on the left). He was the son of a freed slave and became a successful entrepreneur. Becoming the first 'Black' man to own property on Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena California, he was featured in an exhibit at the Pasadena History Museum.
He fathered 10 children. His sons continued in the business and branched out into different aspects of the construction business. My father became the first to 'specialize' and his mastery of the craft made him an unparalleled leader in the family business, which brought it to new heights and trained the next generation! Now lead by third, fourth and fifth generation Master-Craftsmen, Artisans with many years of experience, we give thanks to my grandfather, father’s and uncles that made it all possible.
Since its founding, we have been devoted to upgrading the quality and services we provide throughout the Southwest.
